"TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE"
A Clink Musical Theatre Comedy
TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE - back by popular demand!
'WHILE murderers appall us, there is a special category of crook that beguiles and even entrances — at least for a while!' "Too good to be True"...a play written by Jack Heywood, produced by D.T.A.G., celebration of their 20th Anniversary, is a satirical comedy following the changes which occurred in Port Douglas when the Skases' arrived with big hair and big plans.
We follow the story of a young enthusiastic flamboyant entrepreneur who changed Port Douglas from a sleepy fishing village to a tourist Mecca. The Skase period affected the economics, the people and the future of this sleepy fishing village of Port Douglas. We will celebrate the effects to the town and the change of life this brings.
This production aspires to strengthen the links between Port Douglas today and its colorful and dramatic past. We attempt to highlight the changes that occurred when this magnanimous pair arrived in the town with MAJOR plans. The sleepy village was no more and the foot of change had been irrevocably placed upon our soil. Everyone has an opinion of this extraordinary man!
